President's Message, 2007 |
| Greg Moga, President & CEO - gmoga@outreachservices.com |
“Thanks to you, the patient recovers. Thanks to us, you do.” This quote headlines our new website, and succinctly states how we at Outreach Services position ourselves in this industry of healthcare financial management. In the last year, we have worked very hard to continue and expand our services to our hospital clients who are so vital to our communities’ health. We have taken on many initiatives to be increasingly better partners both in service delivery and education. As you are aware, we have shifted to a unified corporate brand, Outreach Services. In the past, we have had different brands in Minnesota, Illinois, Minnesota, the Northwest and Hawaii, even though there was unified corporate leadership. With this unification, we initiated our national marketing campaign in the hfm Journal. We are very proud of these ads, in that we maintained a positive message in all of them. We have also added new services and expanded others. ‘Pacific Recoveries’ is a service that uses advanced technology to find underpayments from contracted payers, it positions us to be able to support our clients’ A/R by outsourcing all paid claims for audit, regardless of claim amount. Secondly, we have expanded the reach or PacificEDI into a complete business office. The CBO Solution will go live with our first hospital client in May. In order to deliver a successful outsourced PFS, we have invested much development and programming into our web-based application, Optima (Online Patient Tracking and Information Management Application). Optima is a complete, but flexible PFS application. We have developed Optima to functionally work the revenue cycle while maintaining data compliance, transparency and reportability to our healthcare partners. It doesn’t seem like too long ago that our companies were working for our clients, doing Medicaid advocacy, and all we needed to report our success was to deliver approvals. It is clear that our success meeting the needs of the patients was not enough, and that Outreach Services must do more for our clients, and do it better than our competitors. We have progressed and are staying ahead of the curve of change, recognizing the fundamental responsibility we have to our clients and their patients…the revenue that we provide can mean the difference in our clients’ bottom-line. We take that accountability seriously.
