Medical Assistance Advocacy for the Uninsured
Through our outreach programs, we handle benefit eligibility for uninsured and underinsured patients by guiding them through the application process. The result: patients get better coverage and healthcare providers get reimbursed.
-
Financial Screening & Triage
Outreach Services utilizes screening tools at the time of referral to quickly and accurately identify potential payment sources and predict eligibility. Patients who are likely eligible for medical assistance are quickly assigned to an advocate to coordinate the application process. Patients who are not eligible for medical assistance are immediately returned to the client, enabling the client to timely pursue self-pay options.
-
Payer Cooperation
We understand payer regulations and work cooperatively with local eligibility offices. The results speak for themselves:
- Applications are complete upon submission, expediting the review process
- Increased likelihood of quick approvals
- Decrease in denials
- Fewer large caseloads
-
Advocacy, Outreach & Patient Education
Outreach Services utilizes a "hands on" customer-focused approach to compassionately engage patients and their families, thereby maximizing the effectiveness of the advocacy process. Advocates are staffed on-site or in nearby offices to ensure we have a local presence. When needed, field visits to homes, offices and other locations are used to complete patient applications and collect the required documentation and verifications. Authorizations also allow advocates to accomplish certain tasks without patient involvement. Our advocacy efforts result in complete and thorough applications and quicker dispositions.
