    Outreach Services' Third Party Liability (TPL) program focuses on maximizing your reimbursement. Through the TPL program, we are able to access property, homeowners and casualty insurance funds to pay for the medical care needed by patients who are injured in motor vehicle, slip and fall and other accidents. Potential TPL accounts are identified through a rigorous reporting and screening processes and assigned to a team who diligently research and investigate cases, identifying all potential first party and third party payers. If appropriate, medical liens are filed to protect the facility's right to collect funds and all available avenues to reimbursement are pursued. Our team of reimbursement specialists, former claim adjusters, and attorneys provide a low cost resource to manage these time consuming accounts.

  • Discovery Process

    If third party liability exists, count on Outreach Services to find it. We conduct in-depth research into the injury or accident including:

    • Medical documentation review
    • Patient interviews
    • Investigation of any law-enforcement reports related to the case
    • Identification of no-fault or liability funds to pay for medical care
    • Review of any relevant insuring agreements
    • Determination of liability for injuries suffered by the patients
  • Resolution

    When we have obtained enough information to support the patient's claim, we submit all relevant evidence to the insurance payer for processing. If appropriate, medical liens are filed to protect the facility's right to collect policy funds. Further action is sometimes necessary to secure reimbursement to the facility and coverage for the patient. Outreach Services will pursue:

    • Lien foreclosure
    • Inter-company Arbitration
    • OIC complaints
    • Other legal means to ensure all available reimbursement is secured for the facility

    Outreach Services will manage customer service and communication on the accounts referred to us, including interaction with the patient, insurers, adjustors, attorneys and any other involved parties.
